Exp.jpg

Experience (Usually shorten to XP or EXP) is necessary for the development of your character. Without experience you can not make new levels and thus enhance skills, stats, wear better armor and weapons, etc.

You can get XP in several ways. By killing monsters and completing quests.

For each level the XP requirement is different, but you always have to fill the experience balls in the bottom left of your screen. When you fill the 1st, 2nd and 3rd ball you will be able to add 1 status point to your character. When you fill the 4th ball you will procede to the next level and recieve 1 extra skill point to use.

The absolute ammount of XP made, and the ammount left to the next level can also be seen on your Status window, accessible by pressing the "C" key or by pressing the status button Status Button.png

One monster or Metin Stone can give a maximum of 10% XP required for the next level.

Monsters spawned from Metin Stones give 50% of the normal XP.

Relative Exp.

Depending on your level and the level of your opponent you get a certain percentage of EXP. If your level is lower, you get a few percent extra experience. In contrast, if the opponents is lower level you get less experience. The base value of possible EXP gain from monsters can be found in the Monsters List . The base is the number of EXP that you get if you have the same level as the adversary.

If the monster is 15 or more Levels over you = 180% Exp.
If the monster is 14 Levels over you = 170% Exp.
If the monster is 13 Levels over you = 165% Exp.
If the monster is 12 Levels over you = 160% Exp.
If the monster is 11 Levels over you = 155% Exp.
If the monster is 10 Levels over you = 150% Exp.
If the monster is 9 Levels over you = 145% Exp.
If the monster is 8 Levels over you = 140% Exp.
If the monster is 7 Levels over you = 135% Exp.
If the monster is 6 Levels over you = 130% Exp.
If the monster is 5 Levels over you = 125% Exp.
If the monster is 4 Levels over you = 120% Exp.
If the monster is 3 Levels over you = 115% Exp.
If the monster is 2 Levels over you = 110% Exp.
If the monster is 1 Level over you = 105% Exp.
If the monster is same Level as you = 100% Exp. (Default)
If the monster is 1 Level under you = 100% Exp. (Default)
If the monster is 2 Levels under you = 98% Exp.
If the monster is 3 Levels under you = 96% Exp.
If the monster is 4 Levels under you = 94% Exp.
If the monster is 5 Levels under you = 92% Exp.
If the monster is 6 Levels under you = 90% Exp.
If the monster is 7 Levels under you = 85% Exp.
If the monster is 8 Levels under you = 80% Exp.
If the monster is 9 Levels under you = 70% Exp.
If the monster is 10 Levels under you = 50% Exp.
If the monster is 11 Levels under you = 30% Exp.
If the monster is 12 Levels under you = 20% Exp.
If the monster is 13 Levels under you = 10% Exp.
If the monster is 14 Levels under you = 5% Exp.
If the monster is 15 or more Levels under you = 1% Exp.

Note: The value of Exp. after calculation is always rounded down to a number divisible by 4.
Example:
White Oath Soldier gives 488 Exp. at lv18.
Lv15 - 560 Exp., because 488 + 15% = 561,2 rounded down to 560
Lv16 - 536 Exp., because 488 + 10% = 536,8 rounded down to 536
Lv17 - 512 Exp., because 488 + 5% = 512,4 rounded down to 512
Lv20 - 476 Exp., because 488 - 2% = 478,24 rounded down to 476
Lv21 - 468 Exp., because 488 - 4% = 468,48 rounded down to 468
Lv22 - 456 Exp., because 488 - 6% = 458,72 rounded down to 456 and so on.

Experience Points in group

When in group every member receives experience regardless of who killed the monster.

The leader may choose how they share experiences among members:

Level distribution - EXP is divided among the number of members in the group most EXP + member receives the highest level. When group members with 50 and 25, 50 level gets ⅔ experience and 25 level gets ⅓ experience. (Note Again Relative EXP (see above))

Even distribution - EXP is divided evenly among all members -> no one gets more or less. When group members with 50 and 25
